Rundholzpreis, NadelholzAfter intensive cuttings in the period autumn/winter 2010/2011, the use of wood in Austria has seasonally decreased, especially in small forests. In softwood sawlogs, supply and demand are in balance and sawmills are well provided. Logs run off quickly, the sawmills are still receptive. While high demand for logs continues, forestry representatives do not understand discounts for stronger sawlogs. Because of attractive price levels in Germany, logs were also exported. Prices are stable compared to the previous month.

Demand for pulpwood continues to be good, acceptance flows quickly and smoothly. Prices for logs for mechanical pulp are stable compared to the previous month. Acceptance of Beech logs runs also continuously at stable prices. All assortments for the production of boards are in good demand.

The fuelwood market keeps quiet, since fuel supply is still high and consumption is seasonal low.
