The monthly price index for sawn timber and wood-based materials for wooden packaging and pallets recorded a decrease in all product ranges in September 2022 compared to the previous month. The index of solid wood for wooden pallets decreased by 6% compared to August 2022, when it decreased by 6.9%. With a status of 398.3 points, the characteristic value determined by the Federal Association of Wooden Packaging - Pallets - Export Packaging (HPE) in cooperation with the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn was 0.9% above the previous year's value.

The index for solid wood for wooden packaging decreased by 3.5% to a level of 264 points - after a fall of 6.4% in August. Compared to September 2021, this resulted in a decrease of 6.3%.

Plywood for packaging also recorded a declining index in September 2022 - by 0.9% to stand at 267.9 points. The index was thus 5.3% below the previous year's figure.

With a decrease of 2.4% compared to August to 156.2 points, OSB for packaging fell a little more. Compared to the index level in September 2021, there is a minus of 35.2%.
